We were asked to create a completely new packaging system for a wide range of Finnish radiators. The former packaging was an all plastic-solution, using expanded polystyrene end caps and plastic film for wrapping. The new packaging needed to be more sustainable and perform better in online sales deliveries. Overall efficiency in manufacturing and packing process were also key drivers.
The new packaging delivers a feeling of a modern, sustainable and socially responsible company. This feeling is delivered via the solid portfolio approach, material choices and successful packaging graphics.
The new system is fully paper-based. Packaging components were designed to be universal between models. This helps to keep the number of components as low as possible. Nearly 30 different products, all large and heavy, can now be packaged with a handful of modular components. The accessory box is designed to give support when stacking the heavy packaged products. The new system needs only low-level tooling investments and can be manufactured locally.
